Mixing and Separating (Week 7)
Aim: To seperate the colours and the pigment.
hypophysis: I think that the colour will spread around the filter paper.
1 Experiment result: The colour spread all around the paper, and it adds two more colour blue and black the main colour is purple.
2 Experiment result: The second experiment has a lot of colour it has Blue, Yellow, Purple, Brown, Pink and Gray the main clour is black I think that black colour has a lot of colour because of the things that made of.
method
- 1- Draw a line across the filter paper in pencil, 5cm from the bottom.
- 2- Draw a coloured dot in the centre of the line.
- 3- Measure out 10mL of water and place in the test tube.
- 4- Place the filter paper in the test tube and fold over the side. MAKE SURE THE PENCIL LINE IS NOT IN THE WATER.
- 5- Wait for 5minutes and observe the results
Equipment
- Felt tip pen, filter paper strips, test tube, measuring cylinder, pencil.
Conclusion: today I learnt how to mixing and spreading works, It was amazing to experiment.
