English | film study colour lighting

Today in Coraline, we have to explain what is a type of lighting and what does it means. for example, light color stands for warm color and dark color stands for cold color. 

I've learned what kind of color is cold and warm. for me, purple is an evil color and it is a mix between dark and light color.  

Coraline | Film study

In this film study, we have watched a movie called Coraline. It is a story about a girl that wanted time with her family. For this task, we just have to choose a theme for this. we are supposed to only chose 1 theme but I accidentally did two, the theme I chose is don't judge a book by its cover and be grateful for what you have. this is what I have done and we use an app called coggle.

 

English film language

Body language: This is what the character life and what is his/her feelings and what is the identity of this character, it is also the expression of the character and what his/her personality is and what is the movement of the body. 

Costumes: it is what the character wearing, and what is the character know as like what is his/her country in the movie. some of the movies have a country like the game of thrones people have different costumes and different countries. 

Hairstyles: it can be anything like a sideway hairstyle, in my opinion, this is the common hairstyle in some movie I've watched a different kind of movies and some of the characters have the same hairstyle. 

Make-up: every movie use make up in each character to make it realistic, like a scar in the face or in the arm even in the foot these are some of the things that make up the artist do to the character of the movie.

Colour: it sets the mood to the people who watch the movie.

Lighting: this also sets the mood to the people but this time its in the background 

Props: people use different kain of props like some swords in some movie there are different kain of props that director use to some different character it depends on what the character suits the best. 

Settings: it can be the background of the movie. 

Dialogue: dialogue is when two or more people talk at each other and have a conversation, this is what they call dialogue this use in harry potter most of the time because of a lot of people in the film. this is also common in some different movie like the 

Sound effect: to make the movie realistic you need to have a sound effect. it would be nice to watch and hear the sound effect of things like an airplane.

Music: this is the most important thing in the movie, this also depends on the scene that is happening in the movie, if it is a war in the movie then the music should be connected to the war. 

Silence: this use in some serious moments. 

Symbol: it is often an object, and suggest a new type of ideas.

Special FX:  is used to make the movie look realistic and to make the mood even better.
